About the Event
Auditions will be held in Studio B.
You can audition for just performance company or for both performance and competition team.
Dancers must be enrolled in classes at Dance Variations. If you are not a current student and you audition and make the team, you will be required to enroll.
If you audition for the competition team, you will also be placed in the performance company. If you audition for performance company only, you are not required to compete.
10:00a ... Dreamers (age 8-10)
11:00a ... Solo Audition (age 8-10)
11:30a ... Believers (age 10-12)
12:30p ... Solo Audition (age 10-12)
1:00p ... Achievers (age 13+)
2:00p ... Solo Audition (age 13+)
*If you are a returning DBA Company member and have danced with a group different from your age group in previous seasons, please audition with that group first. If DV staff see fit, they will request you to stay for the following audition group.
*Class requirements: Ballet, Jazz, Leaps/Turns for all. Believers/Achievers: add Contemporary/Lyrical. Additional tuition fees apply to all company members. If you request a routine in a certain style, you will be required to take class in that style weekly. Company members will have access to a free technique class. Contact studio for more info.
